Terrorism in the U.S.

The United States of America is a powerful country with a lot of different cultures, religions, receives the most immigrants, and has billions of dollars. Some would argue that countries like Russia, China, Europe, India, etc.. are more powerful but, America stays being this worlds leading country. However, a country with this much power and money also has a lot of enemies who would stop at nothing to take what they have and make it their own. Terrorism in the U.S. is no longer just shootings or bombings, but terrorists have become more creative with the way they attack America. For example, cyberterrorism, vehicular terrorism, suicide attacks, aircraft attacks, and more. The most horrible attack that led to the most injuries and the largest amount of fatalities in the U.S. ever was the attack on the World Trade Center in New York, New York on 9/11. It happened on September 11, 2001, with 8,900 injured and left 2,993 dead. This was caused by the crashing of two hijacked planes that flew into the twin towers of the World Trade Center. At the time they were the tallest buildings in all of New York City, with 110 stories per building, providing about 10 million square feet of either office space. The North Tower was 1,368 feet high and the South Tower stood tall at 1,362 feet high. The attack caused fires and the two buildings to collapse with workers inside and outside of the Trade Center. There are still families to this day mourning the loss of their husbands, wives, children, relatives, and friends. Not many know but in 1993 terrorists that were linked to an Islamist extremist group set off a bomb in a van just below the World Trade Center. In that attack, six people died and thousands were injured. After that, terrorism in the U.S. only get exponentially with thousands either dying, injured, or becoming emotionally scarred by the attacks.
